I wanted to give you the latest on what we are doing to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

In our continued efforts, we have formed a valuable partnership with Convoy of Hope—a humanitarian organization that already has established facilities and personnel on the ground in Haiti. As a matter of fact, they already feed over 8000 Haitians on a regular basis.  Interestingly enough, their warehouse in Haiti was just restocked prior to the earthquake.  Because of their close connection with the community, they are able to respond immediately and provide the most basic essentials necessary to sustain life.  

This Sunday, January 17, we will be receiving a special love offering to send down to continue the efforts and meet the demands on resources.  I heard through Fox News that the $10 donations through texting will take up to 90 days to get to their intended location.  Please know that anything you give this weekend will be immediately sent to the organization direct and will have instant impact.  Your generosity and response of compassion is genuinely appreciated.    

This is a difficult time for thousands of people. But this is also a time when we can work together to show Christ’s love to the people of Haiti in a very real and tangible way.  Together we can do more than we can alone!
